The wildboys arrived prepared and ready to once again demonstrate what it is to play internal league rugby! with the inclusion of some stellenbosch talent, namely James, Dave and Taxi, we were looking strong to bring it against the aptly named spanners.
Unfortunately due to the awesome painkillers I was on, and what remained of the general anesthetic i can't remember the game in it's entirety. However i do remember that we started the game by receiving into the wind. after which followed 5 tries to 1, with 1 conversion going to our Front rower - Scott!!
All in all some good talent was shown by people not playing in their usual positions. Very encouraging for this weeks game against the Nadoes!!
Badges have been made so will bring them to practise so everyone can sew them on!

Spanners may be an engineering side, but do not expect just straight lines and simpletons on the field! Their performance last week against the Nadoes was noteworthy and we should be careful to judge this as an easy game! this is good practise for our big game next week!
Please note that all players are required to stay behind after the game for a polite round of drinks where all sorts of fines may be dished out... you have been warned!!

Wildboys Go 10 For 10
The weather tonight was not conducive to what is classic wildboys rugby, however after a short period of refamiliarisation we were into the full swing of things, with the first try coming in 5 minutes! (try scorers will be confirmed before being named). Playing with the wind proved advantageous with wildboys notching up 4 tries in the first half. The back line revelled what they were capable of with 4 new recruits and the change of last seasons usual line up. It was in the secound half, against the wind, that the true muster of the players came through, unfortunately conceding one try to marquad, we managed to put another two tries past, through and around their backline. With Warren Kelly stepping their wing to score a beautiful try, earning himself the man of the match!
Just a few stats for those of you who are interested, and like that type of thing:
10 games - 10 wins
22 tries for
net points difference of +165
Cases of Klippies & Cola Consumed: 66
Much thanks must go out to all our supporters, who valiantly braved the cold to come shout for their favourite internal league side!! Thank you, and we are currently looking for a war cry so if anyone has any ideas please, do put them forward.
Once again I must apologise if my language offended anyone!
